regular meeting of the Washington City Council.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WASHINGTON, WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1774, CHAPTER 15, PART 4, SECTION 407 – SPECIAL PURPOSE PARKING ZONES ESTABLISHED; PARKING OTHERWISE PROHIBITED, TO ADD 1 HANDICAP PARKING SPACE AT 61 DEWEY AVENUE.

A motion was made by Councilman Manning, seconded by Councilwoman
Williams, and unanimously carried to approve

the 2018 revised MMO’s in the total amount of $1,900,205.00 broken down as
follows:

a) Officers & Employees Retirement System $ 113,937.00

b) Firemen’s Pension Plan $ 635,643.00

c) Police Pension Plan $ 1,150,715.00

2018 Reorganization Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 2, 2018
at 12:00 P.M.

A motion was made by Councilman Manning, seconded by Councilman
Westcott, and unanimously carried to approve payment to PNC Bank in the
amount of $ 348,006.00 for the city’s final 2017 MMO contribution for
the pension fund. CHARGE: 01.60/483-533 (General Fund-
Pension Contributions.)

A motion was made by Councilman Manning, seconded by Councilman
Westcott, and unanimously carried to Make a motion to authorize the
acting treasurer to pay off the 2017 TAN Loan to Pittsburgh National
Bank in the amount of: Principal: $800,000.00, CHARGE: 01.90/471-600 & $10,687.56 Interest (as per payoff quote) CHARGE: 01.90/470-600.

A motion was made by Councilman Manning, seconded by Councilwoman
Williams, and unanimously carried to extend the contract of Brandon
Dalesio for one year, at the rate of $7.75 per hour, effective from
January 1, 2018 until December 31, 2018.

A motion was made by Mayor Putnam, seconded by Councilman Manning, and
unanimously carried to support the Washington Senior Citizen’s Grant Application, requesting funds to finance the installation of an elevator in the building located at 69 West Maiden Street, Washington, PA 15301. (The Washington Senior Citizen Center has used the building for forty years and it is anticipated that the Washington Senior Citizens Center will continue using this facility for the next ten years.)

A motion was made by Councilman Manning, seconded by Councilman
Westcott, and unanimously carried to approve Change Order #2 for the
Main Pavilion Restoration Project from G&W Roofing and Construction, INC in the amount of $317.24. CHARGE: To be paid from LSA Grant Funds.

A motion was made by Mayor Putnam, seconded by Councilman Westcott, and
unanimously carried to go into executive session regarding a personnel
matter at 7:18 p.m.

unanimously carried to come out of executive session at 7:50 p.m.

unanimously carried to deny the Grievance Appeal offered by Patrolman
Moore.

The next regular meeting of the Washington City Council will be held on

The City Building will be closed on Monday, October 9, 2017 in observance
of Columbus Day. Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, October 10,
2017 at 8:30 A.M.
