Laborer in the Public Works Department. The position is a Union position
and includes a benefits package. A mandatory residency requirement of in
the City or within 7.5 miles does apply. Applicants must possess a CDL
class B at a minimum. Current starting wage is $23.33 per hour.

Laborer Job Description Summary; Performs various skilled and
semi-skilled tasks in maintain City streets and sewer drops. Performs
other duties as required. Major duties and responsibilities to include
the following All street department functions not related to operating
dump trucks except during snow removal. Operates handheld power
equipment, patches potholes, lays brick, forms and pours concrete,
shovels snow, digs trenches, lays tar and blacktop, trim trees cuts
brush, acts as flag person, routine custodial functions, etc.
