 Job Title: Data Entry Clerk

Report to: Police Chief

Bargaining Unit: SEIU 668

This position is responsible for entering police calls into a computerized data entry system.

Major Duties & Responsible, but not limited to:

  • Data entry of police calls
  • Collection of citations and copy to send to MDJ
  • Answer and return phones calls
  • Communicate with the public, frequently and in a tactful and courteous manner
  • Sort mail
  • Mail accident reports requested by insurance companies and individuals
  • File and track PFA
  • Stock and refill forms that officers need
  • Enter dispositions and fingerprint cards
  • Learn the position of Record Clerk
  • Track MDJ hearings and court dates

Qualification: High school graduate or GED required.  Must be able to operate a variety of office equipment.

Salary $16.00 an hour (90 days probation)               $16.50 an hour after probation

Office hours: Monday thru Friday 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
